15-day visit
This time schedule allows you to see more of the country. We recommend a trip to the Northern coast of São Paulo up to the border of Rio de Janeiro. The hills, the vegetation of the rain forest (the Atlantic forest runs along the whole Brazilian coast, one of the longest in the world for a single country) makes Brazil an unforgettable experience.

City of Paraty (RJ)
Paraty (State of Rio de Janeiro at the border with the state of São Paulo). The city is famous for its historic colonial architecture. It was a port of entry for Brazil in the XVI century, used to ship gold back to Europe. Just fantastic to see that there’s still a place that stays relatively intact, away from modern influences. No cars are allowed downtown. There are many small islands. Some are private and even have resorts and restaurants.

30-day visit
If you have the money and the time, you can conveniently fly to many locations, including the famous Northeast beaches and Amazônia, in Brazil’s Northern region. Also consider visiting the European-flavored states of the South. It’s easy to blend in with Brazilians, although many people are unaware of the extent of the country’s diversity. If you are a cosmopolitan, plan a trip to São Paulo and Rio to experience urban cultural and social activities. If you like a calm environment, check out the many ecological tours available throughout the country and even in the regions surrounding Rio Claro.

Documents and legal stay
Brazil requires a valid passport with a tourist visa. Invited guests, IFAPA Executive Board members and all other participant are responsible for their own paperwork and visa fees. Visa information can be obtained by visiting:
